I had my gynae check up yesterday.Apparently desperately wanting to pee doesn't mean your bladder is full.Instead I was told to wait for another 20 minutes and drink more water.I tell you,my bladder was so full I wanted to cry coz I really NEED to pee.BUt I kept my cool and did the gynae scan eventually. It was everything like in the TV.Cold gel,the TV thingy, the scanner thingy. But because of my stomach muscle(Ok fats, you happy now),she has to press so hard that she was pressing on my already-very-full-that's-making-me-desperately-wanting-to-pee bladder. The whole way I was praying I wouldn't piss on the bed.hahaha.'
After that,I went to see a gynae and lo and behold it's a male gynae this time round.Thank god there's no checking up or anything.Just talk. But to make it even more uncomfortable, there's another male intern doctor in the room.2 guys in a room talking about me...and my uterus..certainly not want I want in my fantasy. So the dignosis is I have PCOD .It's nothing serious,I hope.I didn't ask the doctor much because 1)he's a man and I just feel weird 2)He wasn't tt sensitive or nice,he sound very man,I can't explain,it's just gut instinct you know.So I asked to be referred back to the polyclinic. He sked me whether I want to be given medication, which are contraceptives pills, but he warned it's going to be very expensive and from his tone, he doesn't seem to think I really need it.So I said No la.Then he asked whether I want to come back. Please take note,he asked whether I want.So I said No coz bloody hell do you know how expensive a gynae is.Then he said, never mind la,just come la.You're the doctor,if you want me to come just say in the first place,Come.Haiyah.
Anyway,I've been reading up on PCOD(click on the word) on the net.I'm thankful that this disease is not that serious.I do can get pregnant and thank God for that. And I'm no less a women( I don't get it why menopause makes you less of a women.my mum been thru it so do my grandma at the age of 26 due to ovarian cancer and they're certainly no less a women) coz it's just a delayed in my menstrual cycle.
And you know what, I realised why my menses hasn't been coming regularly these few months. Why you ask?Coz I haven't been taking my diabetes med regularly,on time I mean(read this:A relatively new class of drugs that help sensitize the cells to the action of insulin, thereby reducing insulin resistance, has recently been shown to help induce ovulation in women with PCOS who failed previous simple therapies. Certain of these agents may also help women with PCOS to lose weight. Some of the more common drugs are: Metformin-->I'm taking this (Glucophage) and Troglitazone (Rezulin)..no wonder my menses were regular when I was taking the pills religiously).I have a confession to make.Instead of popping the usual 2 pills in the morning and afternoon and the rest 6 at night.I've been popping all 10 at night.Death wish?No I was just lazy but now I learnt my lesson. Not only have I suffered countless hypoglacemia in the night,my menses is on jeoprady. So back to normal popping routine.
