Watched the closing ceremony of the National Staidum... No not at the stadium itself, I'm one of the millions(I presumed) who watched it at home. I admit, I thought what's the hoopla over the closure of the stadium...they have but repeat it's closing down since a year ago...and they kept having all these events at the grand ol' dame before the then-never-seem-to-come-closing date. But after tonight, ok I surrender, the old thing does have an effect on me.
Nice memories there. Watched the opening ceremony of Asean games back in 1993.Got scared the hell out over the fireworks. That was my first fireworks ever. The countless M cup games. That was coolest memories ever. Screaming the bejibbers out of the people there, shouting "referee kayu",the less than coordinated kallang waves and learning the word Butoh at a very young age. Gosh! Too bad I can't add watching NDP to the list, coz they freaking forgot about '85 babies then. But great memories never the less
So goodbye oh grand(in Singapore's context that is) ol' dame. Gonna miss you.
Now are they going to bomb it down or just do add-ons. Coz if they gonna blow that baby, I wanna watch.
