Have you ever taken a ride in a taxi where the driver is a tad too,well... how do I say this nicely.... COLOK!
Well yesterday I got yet another taxi driver who loves talking so much... he doesn't care I'm on the phone. But thank goodness for him, he has a good topic to banter on. So I guess I'm a bit more reciprocative towards him.
But there are times when he spoke where I wanted to laugh my hearts out or roll my eyes, sometimes both... Here's an example
Me: Ye la.. Bukit Panjang ni pun da banyak gangster
Taxi Driver: *shrieking*Astaghfirullah.. ish... ni yang buat cuak ni
Me: (mak did he said cuak, maintain rohani...jgn ketawa rohani...)
Taxi Driver:Tu la kadang-kadangkan nampak budak-budak ni sume dgn tattoo, tindik sane sini, kalau ikut zaman dulu memang da kene pelempang je.Tak sedar diri.. Ni sume tunggu masuk bangunan besi je tu
Me: ( I can't believe he said cuak.. )
I know... I'm very jakun but I've never heard a pakcik ( I refused to call him abang even if he's in his 30's) say cuak before.. in fact I have never heard anyone say cuak before except in JC when Nina said that... and trust me, I was taken aback by the word also..
Ok the point is, sometimes it's ok to get the passenger in some banter.. for this driver, good for him, I want to talk... coz it's about malay society and it's close to my heart(and m major)... But there are some taxi driver who will never get it and I hate it when they continue to go on and on and on... I think the taxi companies should have etiquette classes for them coz some of us are just too tired to have a conversation of,let's say,how lousy the govt are, especially after work... seriously don't you hate it when that happen.
