They were showing the something local comedian VCD ad on TV just now and being the I-think-these-VCDs-are-stupid-and-redundant person, I asked my aunt if these vcds are really that funny coz I managed to watch one last time and it was stupid..not like Simpsons-stupid-but-damn-funny stupid but stupid stupid. Ok I am mean but I'm speaking the truth right? But my cousin's answer to my question is quite interesting. He replied "alah boleh la, susah tau dorang buat vcd ni, bukan senang, nak kene support"

I guess what he said was right. Yesterday while in Geylang I saw Azroy Sultan selling in one of those ramli burger stall. And seeing him struck me..you know Singapore media industry is fucked up when you see a director/producer/actor selling Ramli burger in Geylang bazaar.

It's not that I don't want to support local media industry. I am watching Ch5 aren't I.. I am watching Suria aren't I? though 75% of the shows are bought from foreign countries and some of the local show are unbearbly painful to watch *coughrahsiaperkahwinancough*. It's just that some are really lacklustre..Yes I geddit, there's the lack of funds and lack of talents...I mean manpower...but seriously put up a good show please. Singapore was once the hub for media industry! Bring back the Shaw Brothers Glory..I need good TV shows coz there's only so much net surfing I can do.
