Considering I barely slept for 2 hours on Saturday, I am very surprised I was still able to go Geylang and Norman's house for laksa.
Geylang was ok. Mum has finally had her fixed of Geylang. My mum is those makciks who I call Geylang junkies. Every month she will be bugging me to go Geylang. And we don't do much there really. Eat, go around, buy something. That's about it. But aiyah, she's a workng woman and if Geylang is her choice of place to destress, so be it. She bought a few stuff, like sejadah and all while I was going around looking at the kains. I bought 2 pair of kains for Hari raya already. Hahaha...I know its still way early but that's how I like it. Buy kain early, send to Larkin early, get the ready baju kurung early...puasa and hari raya enjoy! One is going to be a pink top and purple skirt, another is a cream top and a red skirt. So that's my colour ok. If anyone want to jalan raya with me this year, jangan nak clash ok. Sigh, I miss jalan raya. I think it's been 2 years since I go for jalan raya, what with school and all.
After Geylang was Norm's house for laksa. Ok here's the thing, I don't like laksa. I think its too rich and I hate it the fishy taste of it. My mum's version and I am sure most of the malay version uses ikan you see, and I dont like it. I was careful at first, I took a bit only of the laksa just in case..but to my surprise, the laksa taste very good, especially with the family secret cili. The kuih pai ti(is this how you spell it) was very very good too. I tink I had 5, not at one go la...the whole day. I always see it at pasar mlm but since its not halal, never got to try it. Its nice. Imagine popiah basah without the popiah skin and replaced it with keropok. Again I tink coz of the cili too, so it has this zing.As usual there was a lot of jokes, there was even a crying at one point, more jokes and just mere talking shit. I stayed till 8 though, coz i couldnt tahan already. The eyes was super heavy when I was there, especially after food. You should see us, just laying down either on the sofa or the floor in front of the TV. Muke sume da sememek, too full. A few times, I tink I had a short naps in between watching Transformers that was playing on the VCD player. There was an attempted trick on Naz who pretty much just slept through Transformers . Norman put some aquafresh on his hand and we tried to tickle his nose with the tissue. Normally this trick would make the guy rub his nose and thus the colgate or watever will get smeared all over the face right? But NOOOO, the trick backfire. He just sat up and in that attempt to sit up, he used Norman's knee as his leverage and the aquafresh pretty much get smeared all over Norman's pants. That was just one funny shit ok.
This has just been one awesomely great weekend by far. I even forgot that today is a public holiday. No plans for today though. But hey you guys are always welcomed to call me if you have any in mind. The easiest, just call me for a starbucks or just to lepak. I will gladly obliged. =)
