So this is what I've been busy with this past weekend.
The cousin in red turned 17..Yes people..he's 17 now, so there was a big hurrah to usher in his special day. 2 days chalet have never been this much fun and yet tiring.
So what did I do..let's see.. my job is basically to plan games for the relatives(mostly from my aunt's side coz you know how much my side of the family is a party pooper when it comes to these kind of events)and executed the games. I thought hosting the games with the kids is tiring, what more with me shouting and trying to quietened them down to explain the games.. I was wrong...hosting the games for the mothers was worst. We are talking about mostly 40-50 year old makcik-makcik, plus a few others around my age here. They were even noisier than the kids and they don't listen to instructions ah...they were so busy talking amongst themselves and strategising for the game taboo I had planned for them, I was practically shouting my head off to calm them down. The outcome of it- devastating.... devastatingly funny. I couldn't stop laughing. There was so many funny moments, I have a few personal favourite..
On the word : leaning tower of pisa
teammates: yang building senget-senget...
guess-er:New York!
On the word : peribahasa...Ok I forgot the exact words..but it goes something like this...
teammates: aur di tepi tebing, sebagai kuku dengan kulit...ni semua ape?
guess-er: oh tahu-tahu...bagai pinang di belah dua
On the word dugong
teammates: yang bunyi *oung oung*
On the word donkey
teammates: yang bunyi *oung oung*
On the word toad
teammates: yang bunyi *oung oung*
Practically every animal sound they made is an *oung oung*
Fuck funny.
Oh and I really like the RI/RJC boys who are the birthday boy schoolmates...
One was super hardworking..he was practically doing work all the time, especially cleaning.. I found out later, he's a grandma's boy..no wonder. Another boy is a gymnast...I swear he has very muscular and huge arms, a bit peculiar given that his body is quite normal looking. And some others, you really shake your hand and wonder how they got into RI... super mat although they might not be exactly Malay, especially this Indian boy they call Patti...fuck funny.
So there you go people... my weekends of planning, hosting and some parts where I was continously frying/cooking since I was the only adult left in the chalet with 20 hungry teenagers while the parents went home to sleep the night before, only to come back around 3pm. Madness! Oh and not forgetting my fondue making... not bad for my first time... a party hit! too bad I have no photos but don't worry, I'll be having another fondue party with the peejots come Sunday, so wait for photos till then.
